I'm still curious as to why Ryan Zimmerman is a "snazzy" pick.
Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but third base is incredibly deep (last year there were 24 third basemen who hit at least 20 homers), and jumping all over a guy who hit 23 homers and had a normal-ish .351 OBP seems a little early.
I'm also being a total asshole. Sorry about that, guys.
In positive news, Stem had the steal of the first round.
Also, I'm cranky because I want to go back to Disney World. I was wearing a Valpo shirt and waiting in line for something (that's what you do there) when I heard a shriek of "Valpo!!!" and it was from a high school girl who is going there next fall. I told her she'd love it and to stay as far away from Schnabel Hall as possible.
Re: Zimmerman ... it wouldn't have been my choice, but this is still a keeper league and we are talking about a guy who IMPROVED as the year went on. He hit 23 homers only, yes, and his ballpark isn't going to allow for much better. But in a keeper league, I think he's a legit pickup. Again, who else do you take? A closer? A slugging DH-1B-type like Jim Thome or Carlos Delgado when Lincoln already has Ortiz and Teixeira? One of the two or three SPs that are worth a pick that high, and will probably be available in the next go-round?

Just so all of you fuckers know, I'm not picking until tomorrow. I left all my shit at work because I figured there would be no way that you could get it together enough to finish the round before the night was over.
