MARMOT IN THE BATHTUB.
please.
Are we just going to start quoting The Big Lebowski again?
My plan was to draft Kevan Barlow and Frank Gore at No. 6 and No. 8. It's shot to hell now.
For what it's worth- though Dave's prospects for this year aren't great, I feel that the potential addition of Reggie Bush, plus the breakout of one of his receivers, he'll have a nice core to build around.
I also haven't decided whether to put Tiki/Bulger on their rightful teams, or have you guys "retrade" so that it shows up in the transaction record, for archiving purposes. Is that a dumb idea?
I really wish that I knew the value of draft picks before the season last year. I can tell you right now that I would not have traded a second-rounder, or probably any draft pick at all, for Vick.
I hate life.
Ed kept LaDanian Tomlinson. What an idiot.
-Drew
I think Dave will be okay. Eli Manning will have a good year, and he can get some WR help early on in the draft.
As for the Tiki/Portis deal, we never made that, now that Portis is hurt. So, just go ahead and put Tiki on my team.
Okay, I'm back. Just go ahead and put them on our teams -- it's a lot easier that way.
No need to reassure me here, guys.
I know the outlook is bad. That's why I kept Braylon Edwards. He's hurt for the first part of the year, but since I don't plan on dominating much this year, I figured I'd keep him for the future, because he's money. Stem can attest to that.
He's a Cleveland Brown, of course he's money. Just like Tim Couch. And Courtney Brown. And Gerard Warren. And William Green. And Kellen "Bicycle Warrior" Winslow.
-Drew
I believe the term is "Bicycle Soldier."
Tomke, your team won't be THAT bad, it just needs ... oh I'm sorry, I was looking at Baron's team. Yes, yours will be super bad.
Remember that one time, when Frank Gore was a keeper?
Remember that one time, when Eli Gieryna became famous on firejoemorgan.blogspot.com?
I'm drafting Morris from yahoo with the 18th overall pick. Say what you want about running backs, Morris can make shit happen. Can change the outcome of some matchups. I like that kind of talent.
Yes, that's right "solider" not "warrior." It's been so long since Winslow was semi-talented and relevant that I had forgotten his rant.
With that said, I'm taking him with my first rounder.
-Drew
Wrong, Drew. I pick sixth, you pick eighth. Winslow is mine.
You guys better not sleep on Jake Plummer. Take him early and often.
Fuckers.
Do I really pick 8th (a failed attempt at spelling that out, leading to my worst public voy board ridicule ever will now lead me to not spell out numbers)?
I finished 4th last year which would give me pick 7 wouldn't it? Damn it, I need to know! Winslow or Plummer or Putzier? I've said too much already...
Ed, please make haste and straighten this out for the good of my draft board!
-Drew
No no.
No.
I am stupid.
You pick 7th. But I'll still take Winslow before you.
