"One Valparaiso University alumna debuted on screen as a meteorologist in the nation’s third-largest television market this past weekend. On Oct. 21, Ginger Zee started working on-air as a weathercaster at WMAQ-TV 5, Chicago’s NBC affiliate. Upon receiving the job, Zee experienced a mix of emotional reactions. “I felt lucky, ecstatic, then eventually, a little scared,” Zee said. Zee graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and minors in math and Spanish. Her career started while she was still a student. She became chief meteorologist at WYIN-TV 56, a PBS station, where she delivered taped weathercasts for two semesters."
Noticeable by its omisiion in the article was Ginger's long stint on The Source 95. As one half of topless radio, Ginger was frequently stripping and being a sexual tease while Nick Dettman in an oversized cowboy hat eagerly looked on from the prod room. I want to know why Nick was not interviewed for this piece, or why "Topless Radio" was left out of the article all together. JR, your paper is going to shit without you.
